Stephanie R. Joseph, President

A prominent attorney and pioneer in the fields of directors’ education and corporate governance, Ms. Joseph served for 10 of her 14 years at American Express as the Associate General Counsel before establishing The Directors’ Network in 1994. Prior to American Express, she was associated with the law firm of Shearman & Sterling. Ms. Joseph has written numerous articles on directors and boards and is a frequent speaker on issues related to board performance and has participated at The Stanford University Directors College.

She is a member of the Board of Trustees of Petrie Stores Liquidating Trust and a former member of the Boards of Directors of The New York Heart Association, New York City Affiliate and The New York City Economic Development Corporation. She holds a J.D. from New York University School of Law and an A.B. from the University of Michigan.
